Covid-19 times

Life has become very weird. My career in radio, centered on concerts and sporting events, has completely shut down. I’m stuck at home while the world shelters in place. I’ve been filling the time tutoring my step daughter, whose school has been cancelled for the rest of the semester. I’ve been reading more, having made it halfway through The Shadow of What was Lost, a nice bit of epic fantasy by author James Islington. I’ve been trying to really get back into writing. Right now I’m working on the next part of Rakata vs Vong, which lives over on my fanfiction.net site. You can find a link over in my contact info. I’ve also been trying to connect more with other writers on discord. I’ve re-entered the World of Warcraft, this time battling evil on Azeroth and beyond with my wife. It’s been a great sanity check over the last month.

There is likely another month of quarantine ahead. And, if a second wave hits later this year, perhaps not the only quarantine this year. Like I said, life has become weird, but I’m going to do my best to adapt and take advantage of all of this free time that is suddenly available.
